Pursuence of truth
in nature and the appearance of light as it shifts
through time, has captured the imagination of Enver Larney.
He lives in Australia but constantly travels the world in search of magic to paint IMPRESSIONS OF OUR WORLD.
Like Sisley, van Gogh, Morisot, and those impressionists who regard a painting
done in one sitting crucial in capturing the essential "impression",
Enver Larney prides himself in this ability.
Unaffected by the fad of time or fashionable influences, Larney remains faithful to the simple craft of impressionism and considers those who exhibited in Paris in 1874 as his peers from another time and place.
The most striking thing about Enver Larneys paintings - apart from their stunning and captivating beauty - is their similarity to those of Vincent van Gogh. The colours jump at you, but instead of yellow, van Goghs famous colour of life, Larney captivates you with blue.
